Start with walking and access needs
Explain how much walking your family is comfortable with and whether steps, crowds or long waits are a concern. Ask how close a vehicle can currently drop you to each visit. A hotel described as central is not necessarily the easiest option for a traveller who needs convenient access.
A suggested three-day sequence
Use the arrival day for Haridwar and a suitable evening visit, reserve the next day for a paced Rishikesh outing, and keep the final day lighter before your onward connection. Reverse the sequence if your arrival point or preferred accommodation makes that more sensible.
Plan the aarti without a last-minute sprint
Confirm the chosen venue and current local timings close to travel. Allow time for the approach, crowds and the return to your stay. Aarti attendance does not include reserved seating, special access or a guaranteed view unless an authorised arrangement is explicitly confirmed.
Check the full service list
Request hotel location, room occupancy, meals, vehicle disposal and exclusions. Mention dietary preferences in advance but obtain confirmation rather than treating them as guaranteed. Festival dates can require a different route and more buffer time.
Editorial planning guide, not a confirmed booking. Rates, dates, hotel availability and inclusions are confirmed in your written quotation. Weather, access and seasonal operations are subject to current local conditions.
