Your day-wise itinerary
DAY 01Arrival at Srinagar and Dal Lake+
On arrival at Srinagar airport from Delhi, transfer to the hotel or houseboat. In the evening take a shikara ride on Dal Lake past the floating gardens. Overnight in Srinagar.
DAY 02Srinagar Mughal gardens+
After breakfast visit the Mughal gardens - Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh and Chashme Shahi - followed by the Shankaracharya temple viewpoint. Evening free at the Boulevard. Overnight in Srinagar.
DAY 03Srinagar to Gulmarg+
Drive to Gulmarg, about two hours, and check in. Spend the day at the meadow and the gondola area; gondola tickets are bought locally at your own cost and are subject to availability and weather. Overnight in Gulmarg.
DAY 04Gulmarg to Pahalgam+
Check out and drive to Pahalgam, roughly four to five hours, passing Pampore saffron fields and Awantipora ruins. Check in and keep the evening free by the Lidder river. Overnight in Pahalgam.
DAY 05Pahalgam valleys and back to Srinagar+
Visit the Betaab and Aru valleys, reached by local union taxi at your own cost. Later drive back to Srinagar and check in. Overnight in Srinagar.
DAY 06Departure from Srinagar+
After breakfast and check-out, transfer to Srinagar airport for your booked return flight to Delhi.

Best season to travel
Kashmir is open all year. Tulip season is usually late March to mid April, snow at Gulmarg from December to February, and Sonamarg road access depends on snow clearance. Local union taxis are compulsory on some stretches.
